Cambridge International Book Centre (CIBC) we are committed to protecting your privacy, and will not disclose any of your information to third parties.
We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 & subsequent revisions thereof).
We collect information about you in order to process your order (including payment authorisation) and to assist in developing the site's content.
We will not email you in the future unless you have given us your consent (other than to confirm orders).
You can withdraw your consent to additional emails at any time.

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date.
All personal information is transferred by "secure server" (encrypted), look for https at the start of the internet address and a small padlock at the bottom of your browser window, if this is double clicked our security certificate should be displayed.
Your information will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and English law.

A "session cookie" is used on this site to enable the shopping basket, this is used to keep track of each customer while they are shopping and are removed when they leave the site.
Most web browsers can be modified so they don't allow session cookies, if this is done the above functionality will not be available.

We also use a "persistent cookie" for our registered users, in order to speed up the log in process. These cookies store no personally identifiable customer information and are automatically deleted once their expiry date has passed. Persistent cookies can be turned off in most browsers and will not affect the behaviour of this site.
