Every year, the Extensive Reading Foundation recognizes the best new works of language learner literature in English.
From books published in 2005, the ERF judges have selected three finalists for the categories "Young Learners" and "Adolescents and Adults" which were announced at the IATEFL Conference 2006.

Judges Comments: The language in this mix of facts and stories is well-controlled, and the information is presented with a sense of drama, going beyond cliched environmental facts. There is an excellent variety of illustration styles.
